Applications (part 1 of the application process) for the 2017-2018 school year are now available... just click the button to get started.
Applications are filled out and submitted directly through the website. The deadline to submit an application to be included is October 17, 2016, 5:00 PM. Applications received after this deadline will be waitlisted. A computer generated lottery to continue in the application process will take place on October 20, 2016. Links to the child information form (part 2) and the application fee will be sent to families selected in the lottery.
Once you have submitted the child information form and the application fee, you will be able to schedule a family visit for your child.
All families accepted through the lottery will be asked to schedule a family visit, which will occur from November through February. We welcome parents and their children to visit Beginnings, learn about our program and see our classrooms in action. The family visit will begin with a private thirty-minute tour of the school with either a Beginnings teacher or a current/alumni parent. You will visit all the classrooms and observe teachers and children engrossed in their morning "activities period" or morning meeting. If the teachers have a free moment they will make every effort to introduce themselves and answer questions.
Following the tour your family will have the opportunity to chat and play with either Jane Racoosin, Director or LeeAnn Valvano, Assistant Director, for about thirty minutes. This is an opportunity for us to get better acquainted and answer any questions you might have. Our hope is that after your family visit you will better understand our values and approach to working with young children.
Acceptance letters are sent out to all families in late February/early March, according to the ISAAGNY calendar.
